What is CBD?
CBD (Cannabidiol) is a health-promoting active ingredient from female hemp. Since the active ingredient THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) is not contained in cannabidiol, it is not a narcotic. So far, 70 phyto cannabinoids (ingredients) can be detected from the hemp plant. Due to its intoxicating effect THC is probably the best known of its class. The hemp plant was already used about 5000 years ago in the medical field.
CBD is regarded as effective, well tolerated and safe component of the hemp plant due to its non-psychoactive ingredients. In general, CBD oil is the most effective. CBD oil is full of minerals, proteins, fibre, vitamins and polyunsaturated fatty acids. CBD oil also contains cannabinoids that the body cannot produce itself.
Manufacturing of CBD
CBD products are made from industrial hemp. It comes from the botanical family “Cannabis Sativa Linnaeus”. The CBD extract is obtained by distillation (a thermal separation process to obtain evaporated liquids). The evaporated liquid is produced by softening (macerating) the hemp flowers in alcohol, in which all cannabinoids contained are dissolved. The resulting macerate is mixed with hemp seed oil. In most cases the mixing ratio is 50:50.
Use of CBD
In the course of the last few years, the natural remedies have been increasingly used again. In the meantime, more and more herbal remedies (mainly as supplements) are also being used in clinics. CBD, in particular, is a popular remedy due to its good tolerability and great effectiveness in various areas.
The most effective is CBD oil, which can be used both internally and externally. It helps, soothes and supports a variety of diseases.
CBD for chronic diseases and cancer
Because of its pain-relieving and antispasmodic effects, CBD is often used to support normal medication so that the body is not further challenged and strained. For example, in osteoarthritis and rheumatism, CBD has greatly improved the quality of life of those affected by the disease by alleviating pain and relapses. CBD is also used in cancer patients to reduce the side effects of chemotherapy. The nausea-inhibiting effect is particularly beneficial here.
CBD for insomnia and nervousness
Restless sleep leads in the long run to physical problems, since the body lacks relaxation and rest. This usually makes the person nervous and tense. Not only does this cause the person to leave the skin with every little thing, but their concentration and performance also decrease considerably. Stress is often the trigger for sleep problems. But the disturbed sleep leads again to further stress. Sleeping pills are then often a short-term solution that is anything but good. Because on the one hand waking up is made very difficult and one feels as if one has been whacked and on the other hand different sleeping pills can make dependent.
CBD, on the other hand, has a clear advantage in sleeplessness and/or nervousness: it neither makes you dependent nor makes waking up more difficult. CBD can relax the body and also provide a restful sleep. In addition, it works within a few minutes and can also be used for acute complaints.
CBD for depression, overwork, anxiety and panic attacks
In contrast to THC, CBD has a positive effect on mental illnesses. In addition to restless sleep, stress often triggers burnout as well as anxiety and panic attacks. CBD ensures that the body is better able to cope with stress. In addition, it provides balance, inner peace and can also help in flight or examination anxiety very well, as it does not affect consciousness. This is because the body has its own EC system, the “Endocannabinoid System”, and CBD stimulates the receptors. This suppresses the release of stress hormones and adrenaline. CBD has also had a positive effect on the well-being of patients with depression and has improved their well-being and mood.
Effect of CBD
First of all: as with medication, the effect of CBD can vary from person to person. Every person and every body is different. In addition, various factors such as physical conditions (height, weight, previous illnesses) and the dosage of CBD play an important role in the absorption of the active ingredients. Sometimes the daily form can also influence the effect.
In general, a large number of positive and healing effects of CBD have been observed and these have also been proven in various studies.
